DAY 116
NEW ENGLAND & THE CANADIAN MARITIMES
Day 116 • We’re now into our second overnight of this passage. Last night was memorable for a couple of reasons. Mostly due to the incredible bioluminescence. Sometimes a large aura of light would appear, and from the center a dolphin would surface. Other times you could see large shapes dart like lightning away from the boat. Origami herself became a shooting star, leaving a trail of glitter in her wake.
But then during a routine bilge check we discovered significant water. Evan kept his cool while he worked to figure out the source of trickling water - a gashed scupper drain hose at water level. He then temporarily fixed the leak while we sailed over the depths of the Atlantic Ocean far from shore in every direction.
Today started off beautifully with sunrise dolphins, but otherwise has been challenging due to seasickness for one and the inability to sleep for the other.
