Day 71 • While sitting on the bow, surrounded by fog and waiting to pull up anchor, Meriah was approached by a seal. He looked right at her and then tossed his head back as if to say, come now, follow me. He continued to approach and beckoned her several times. Despite a newfound desire to dive in and live among the seals, she knew the water was far too cold and declined.
We then spent the entire day slightly soggy in full fog. Once we turned in and got closer to land, the fog lifted, and we discovered it was actually quite sunny and hot outside. We went for a fuel walk and then treated ourselves to dinner out.
