DAY 134

NEW ENGLAND & THE CANADIAN MARITIMES

Day 134 • We made our way back home this morning, where Tildy was very, very happy to see us! We hoisted the dinghy into place, and then we all took a nap. Afterwards, we put on our most expensive apparel (foulies) and made our way back towards the city. Only this time with the boat and the baby kitty. It was nonstop rain and fog. Consequently, the views weren’t the greatest, and by the time we made it to the Statue of Liberty, we were soggy and shivering.

This is our second time at this iconic anchorage; our first was during our Loop adventure, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves then, too. We didn’t necessarily plan to stop and explore the city this weekend, but the weather made the decision for us. Thanks to our credit card perks, we benefited from comped lodging for two nights, free breakfasts, drinks & desserts, and possibly best of all, a restaurant credit that covered a multi-course Thai dinner, the leftovers of which will feed us for days.
