DAY 114

NEW ENGLAND & THE CANADIAN MARITIMES

Day 114 • We have a weather window! After weeks of unfavorable conditions, it looks like we can cross back over to the States starting tomorrow. We had hoped to get a head start today by changing anchorages, but once we stuck our bow in the swell, we realized it may have made entry into our chosen anchorage a little too sketchy, so we turned back. The rest of the day was spent prepping for multiple days at sea. Evan spent his time on deck organizing and securing, or inside staring at charts and weather maps. Meriah kept busy in the galley. She cooked up brats, sausages, bacon, chicken breasts, pork chops, and hard-boiled eggs. She prepared a hearty Indian curry, a flavorful Thai curry, a Korean BBQ dish, cheesy broccoli rice, and a chickpea salad.
