DAY 10
NEW ENGLAND & THE CANADIAN MARITIMES
Day 10 • Chore day. We drained the old well water from the water tank, flushed out some sediment, and refilled it with fresh, clear water. Also, fixed the tank’s vent hose and did a load of laundry. Then we were off to the UPS Store on a quest to notarize a document.
We enjoyed an amazing ride through Norfolk after taking the bikes over on the ferry. We followed the waterfront past giant ships, wove our way through historic neighborhoods bursting with large trees, and pedaled over a variety of surfaces. We were surprised by this city and how much we like it. Everyone is out enjoying themselves! A running club, dog walkers, families at the park, kids in the streets, and so many people with carry-out food. Hungry and about to miss the ferry back, we rode our bikes real fast. We boarded the ferry and found our way home for a double lentil dinner.
